Steel Fab Inc. is located in the Historic Southern Engine and Boiler Works Plant in downtown Jackson, TN. The building is 60,000 sq. ft. and in its day boasted being the largest and best equipped factory in the south.
Our main structural bay is 50' wide and 160' long with 10 ton and a 7-1/2 ton overhead cranes. Our light structural bay is 40' by 160' with a 4 ton overhead crane. Our plate fabrication bay is 40' by 80' and our handrail shop is 60' by 60' with a 2 ton overhead jib crane. Some of our major shop equipment includes: PEDDINDHAUS CNC controlled DRILL BEAM LINE, 3/8 x 10' HYDRO Plate Shear, 250 ton NIAGARA Brake Press, 3/8 x 6'6 MORGAN PLATE ROLLS, 18" x 21" HEM SAW, 120 TON GEKA IRONWORKER which will punch a 1-1/4" diameter hole through a 1-1/4" thick plate, shear an angle 8" x 8" x 3/4" thick and shear base plates 1-1/8" thick by 18" wide. We do our own hauling with a fleet consisting of 2 tractor / trailer rigs, 2 bob trucks with flatbeds, and one service truck with welding rig.
